CAM University welcomes business partners across all sectors of the Florida condominium and homeowners’ association industry. We currently offer Platinum-level and Gold-level business memberships.

Gold-Level Business Membership

CAM University offers gold-level business memberships in six regions throughout Florida!

Central (Orlando, Volusia County, Melbourne)
SunCoast (Tampa, Pinellas County, Sarasota/Bradenton)
NE Region (Jacksonville, Flagler County)
SE Region (Palm Beach County, Broward County, Miami-Dade County)
SW Region (Naples, Ft Myers, Bonita Springs)
Panhandle (Destin, Panama City, Perdido Key)

Gold members are always excluded from participating in platinum membership level events.

What are the benefits of being a gold member?

Gold-level business members of CAM University enjoy the following benefits:
• Company listed on CAM University website
• Priority for consideration as a platinum member in one of CAM U’s main CAMpuses, should a seat become available in the appropriate category/profession
• Eligibility for opportunities to participate in and/or sponsor at live and virtual events outside of platinum member exclusive events (certain restrictions, discounts, rules, and/or additional fees may apply)

What is the cost of gold-level business membership?

Gold-level annual membership dues are $500 with certain discounts occasionally applicable. Like other member-based organizations, you must pay member dues to become a member. Then to participate or sponsor at select events, you must either pay an entry fee for that event or pay for a sponsorship. Entry fees and sponsorship levels will vary, based on event.

Note:
All membership requests are subject to final approval by CAM University. No membership will be activated until approved in writing. Any pre-payments for unapproved memberships will be refunded in full.

Platinum-Level Business Membership

The most notable Platinum benefit is trade/profession exclusivity at four to seven luncheons per year--meaning no trade competitors at these luncheons. Platinum members get the benefit of networking at luncheons with community association managers in environments that are “manager heavy and vendor light.”

  • Four to seven luncheons per year in your designated city/campus; category exclusive; no competition
  • Signage displayed at luncheons with your contact info and company website link via QR code
  • Platinum status on CAM U website with logo, contact info, and company bio
  • Comprehensive list of all CAMs who attend luncheons sent before and after events
  • Potential opportunities to teach live classes (no guarantees)
  • Discounts on CAM University non-exclusive category sponsorship opportunities outside of seven luncheons
What is expected of a Platinum Member?

Being a Platinum member earns many benefits and perks. However, not everyone is eligible for Platinum-level membership. Willingness to pay Platinum-level fees does not guarantee membership, nor does it guarantee retention of the exclusive seat from one year to the next.

Platinum members agree to:

Maintain professionalism and courtesy with CAMs, board members, and fellow business members.

Maintain effective and responsive communication, always attempting to keep channels clear, communicate and follow up with CAM University personnel, CAMs, and board members.

Promote every CAM University luncheon (in the Platinum member’s location) to their CAM customer base via email, in person, and social media.

What is the cost of Platinum-level business membership?

Platinum Level Business Membership Dues start at $2000/year, with certain discounts occasionally applicable.

Where are CAM University’s CAMpuses?

Platinum business member exclusive events are held in all CAM University CAMpuses throughout the state. CAM University’s CAMpuses include Orlando, Tampa, Pinellas County, Jacksonville, Broward County, Miami-Dade County, Palm Beach County, Melbourne, Sarasota, Naples, Fort Myers, Volusia County and Destin.

Can gold members participate in platinum-level CAMpus exclusive events?

Only platinum business members are allowed to participate in our regularly scheduled platinum-level exclusive events. These are typically luncheons but are sometimes educational happy hours or dinners.

What events can gold members participate in?

Both gold and platinum business members will have opportunities to participate in and/or sponsor CAM U socials, signature events such as our annual Homecoming in Orlando, webinars, and virtual events such as Practicum "Live from the Teachers Lounge."

Do I need to be a gold or platinum business member to attend a CAM U social event?

Both platinum and gold business members may attend CAM U socials if they have a membership in the location where the socials are held. A business must first be a member to participate in CAM U socials. At CAM University, we have 13 CAMpuses for our platinum business membership opportunities and 6 regions for our gold business membership opportunities.

Where are CAM University regions?

What is a satellite CAMpus?

A satellite campus is a location where CAM U does not host regular events but where occasional events take place.

If I am a current platinum-level business member of one CAMpus, do I need to purchase a gold business membership to attend a CAM U social in the same region?

That depends. Here is an example: Central Florida is a CAM U region that includes Melbourne, Orlando, and Volusia County. Let’s say that you are a platinum business member in Orlando but not in Volusia County or Melbourne, and in August, we host a Central Florida region CAM U social in Melbourne. You would not be eligible to attend that CAM U social in Melbourne. However, if in September our Central Florida region hosts a CAM U Social in Orlando, you may attend that one because you are a platinum member in Orlando. In order to attend all CAM U socials throughout the Central Florida region, you would either have to have a Central Florida region gold membership or a platinum membership in each CAMpus within that region.

If I am a current platinum-level business member of one CAMpus, am I guaranteed a spot in other CAMpuses?

There is no guarantee of membership in any location. Business membership is determined by need and based on the interview. However, we highly recommend that platinum business members consider purchasing a gold business membership in regions where they are not yet eligible for a platinum business membership.

Which business member can be a part of a satellite CAMpus event?

Either platinum or gold members may be offered on an individual basis the opportunity to sponsor and participate in satellite campus events.

As a gold or platinum business member, do I have to pay to attend a CAM U social or Homecoming?

In order to participate or sponsor at select CAM U social events, you must either pay an entry fee for that event or pay for a sponsorship. Entry fees and sponsorship levels will vary based on the event. (Example: you might pay as little as $30 for an entry fee for a trivia happy hour evening, or you might sponsor a lane at a bowling event for $350, or you might secure a booth at Homecoming for $1200.)

What can I expect at the platinum-level events?

Platinum-level events are typically held at higher-end restaurants, and event locations usually vary from month to month. Events run for approximately two hours and include ample networking time, presentations, and business member promotions throughout the event. To learn more, please schedule an interview.
